Kyle is a qualified Primary teacher with over twenty years of teaching experience across the National and International Primary curriculums. For the first four years of his career, Kyle was a class teacher for years 4-6, before becoming Assistant Head (KS2) and Primary PE and Sport coordinator.
Kyle joined St Peter’s in November 2021 as Sports Coach and HLTA and thoroughly enjoyed his first year back in the UK, after thirteen years of teaching Physical Education and coaching multiple sports in two of South East Asia’s premier international schools (in Malaysia and Indonesia respectively). During this time, his roles included Head of House, Head of Girls' Football development and lead teacher/coach of a number of recreational and competitive sports teams and trips.
Kyle is looking forward to the fresh challenges of running the Boarding House, continuing his own personal and professional development, whilst helping and supporting the children of St. Peter’s to flourish.
Rebecca is a Meteorologist at the Met Office and forecasts the weather for aviation, sporting events, transport and utilities. Her job has taken all around the world to parts of Asia, Australia, Gibraltar and even the Falkland Islands! Her passion began as a 4-year-old as she was captivated by natural disasters and extreme weather.
Rebecca is a STEM Ambassador for the Met Office and has visited St Peter’s to explain some of the extreme weather we see in the UK and all around the world. Outside of work she is a keen cook and enjoys keeping active through walking, playing tennis and yoga.
Amber joined St Peter’s as one of our Matrons in September 2021 having previously been a St Peter's parent to children who experienced everything St Peter’s had to offer, including boarding!
Amber has a very holistic approach to a child's health and well-being, stemming from a travel, health & beauty public relations career. Amber retrained in holistic therapies including massage and yoga and takes a keen interest in young people's mental health. When Amber is not looking after St Peter’s children, you can find her on a yoga mat, standing on rugby and hockey sidelines, walking her dogs or trying to grow things in her garden! She also loves travelling, having studied, worked and explored parts of America, Oceania and Asia.
Vicky is excited to join St. Peter’s as a Matron. Previously, she was an Operating Theatre Assistant for the NHS. She has a range of interests and is a volunteer for HM Coastguard, which means she can usually be found on a beach or dangling from cliffs! Vicky has two young daughters, who keep her very busy, enjoying all manner of activities together, especially rock-pooling, muddy walks and cooking together at home. Vicky is very excited to meet and get to know all the children at St Peter's and looking forward to being a part of such an amazing school.
Cara has worked at St Peter’s for nearly 5 years and works each morning as part of the learning success team in Year 3. In the afternoons she joins the Sports department to coach sport. Cara has enjoyed playing numerous sports and continues to play in a local Netball league in the top division. Cara is passionate about Netball and Rugby, but really looking forward to developing her coaching skills across other school sports. After working in the Boarding House last year, she looks forward to continuing working as part of the team and supporting all the children and especially making sure the experience is fun and memorable.
Miss Howick is a BA Events Management graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University. She played high level hockey throughout university, as well as coaching in various hockey clubs and schools in Devon, Cardiff and Lancashire. After graduating she supported both the games department and the boarding house in a large school in Lancashire.
Miss Howick loves being outdoors, keeping active and incorporating an active and creative lifestyle, She enjoys days at the beach and watersports, especially wakeboarding and paddleboarding. In the winter months enjoys long walks and snow sports like skiing.
Miss Howick has always thoroughly enjoyed coaching children of all ages, across a range of sports: hockey, netball, rugby and horse riding particularly. She is looking forward to the hugely positive impact she can have at St Peter’s, helping and nurturing the children's progress, as well as continuing her own professional development.
The kitchen staff at St Peter’s are simply amazing! Led by Diana and Sarah, they look to provide a range of hearty, nutritious meals, desserts and snacks throughout the school day. Boarding is no different and boarders enjoy family favourites as well as being encouraged to try new things to develop broader tastes and enjoyment of a range of different foods.
